The ancients divided the Autumn Equinox into three periods:"One is when there is no longer thunder;The second is when the dormant insects begin to hide in the burrows and seal them with fine soil to keep out the cold;The third is when some marshes and puddles run dry."

秋分后，太陽光直射位置向南移，北半球漸趨晝短夜長，氣溫降低。秋季降溫快的特點，使得秋收、秋耕、秋種的“三秋節(jié)氣養(yǎng)生”大忙顯得格外緊張。

After the Autumn Equinox, the position of direct sunlight shifts to the south,days are getting shorter and nights longer in the northern hemisphere and temperatures are dropping.The characteristic of fast cooling in autumn makes autumn harvesting,autumn ploughing,and autumn planting,the"three autumn solar terms health maintenance",extremely busy.

秋分曾是傳統(tǒng)的“祭月節(jié)”，中秋節(jié)由秋夕祭月演變而來。自2018年起，每年秋分又稱為“中國農(nóng)民豐收節(jié)”，節(jié)日活動主要有文藝匯演與農(nóng)事競賽。

The Autumn Equinox was once a traditional"Moon Festival",and the Mid-Autumn Festival evolved from it.Beginning in 2018,it is also known as the"Chinese Farmers Harvest Festival".The festival activities mainly include art performances and agricultural competitions.

自古以來，民間對秋分節(jié)氣非常重視，有很多有關(guān)秋分的習(xí)俗。比較經(jīng)典傳承的習(xí)俗有祭月、拜神、吃秋菜、豎蛋、送秋牛、粘雀子嘴等。

Since ancient times,people have attached great importance to the Autumn Equinox and there are many customs about it.The more classic and inherited customs include worshiping the moon,worshiping the gods,eating autumn vegetables,erecting eggs,giving paintings of farmers ploughing with a cattle,sticking the dumplings with a thin bamboo fork and placing them on the edge of the field and so on.

秋分時黑天和白天平分、溫暖和涼爽平分，陽光和霜露平分，也祝愿各位辛勤的耕耘與豐收的喜悅平分。
